Medecool by Medezine - a cooling
unit for deceased infants/neonates.
Designed to give families more time with
their babies
The Medecool tray is designed for cooling the immediate environment
to enable the babies to remain close to their families within
the clinical setting for as long as possible or as appropriate
after death.
The unit was designed with help from bereaved parents and specialist
units.
The tray is designed to be placed in the bassinette, moses basket
or in the case of very small babies the crib can be placed on
top of the tray. The tray temperature drops within minutes down
to -10’c and will maintain at that temperature as long
as it is switched on.
The cooling unit is very unobtrusive and the white pipe work
can be covered with sheets or crib cover to hide the tray completely.
The unit is almost silent and is mounted on castors so it can
be moved around easily in the room. |
